As part of the Highland Culture Collective residency at Highland Print Studio, I worked on my first community project with a great group - Health Walks. During the walks, I photographed the group and chatted with friendly and warm people. I asked folks to write down what they are thankful for on that day and if they could pick up some autumn leaves that I might put in an artwork later. Participants in the health Walks gathered a full car boot of bags loaded with leaves, flowers, and berries, and I documented these discoveries by photographing the plants and other found objects chosen by the participants.
The compositions are visualisations of the relationships between people and nature.
