Barbara

Barbara is a beautiful woman in her forties. She is alive and strong, with her passions, secrets, dreams, and insecurities. Her surreal world keeps dragging me in and sometimes unexplainable happen. I started this project in January 2021, intending to work on the project for a year, I attempted to do at least one shoot per month. Through Barbara, I tried to perceive things I didn't fully understand. Throughout the months, Barbara grew and altered, becoming a more personal figure to me. Sometimes Barbara is a self-portrait and sometimes she is a different person and these dynamics can change simultaneously. She is a product of uncertainty, constant questioning and analysis. She could be someone I’ve never been, or maybe she is the deep essence of my personality. I think I will never discover this fully.
